Our office is at 209 Sansar Chandra Road in Jalupura. If you have ever been down this road, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people moving around. We have a small space here where we handle all the transport stuff. It is usually quite noisy with the horns honking outside. Inside, we have some old metal cupboards and a few desks that have seen better days. Kiran Express has been operating from this Jalupura spot for quite some time now. We don't have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and we talk about what needs to be moved. We get a lot of small packages and big boxes stacked up against the walls. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes. We spend the day talking to drivers and making sure the loading is done right. It is a lot of manual work and checking lists. We don't use any fancy software, just pen and paper for the most part. It works for us. When the afternoon sun hits the front of the shop, it gets quite warm, so we keep the fan going full speed. It’s a basic operation run by people who have lived in Jaipur all their lives. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
