You can find Karni Food Products over in the Karni Industrial Area, right near the Pareek Cold Store at G. No. 236. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always loud with trucks and machinery nearby. We have a modest production unit where we process basic food items. It’s mostly manual work, with a few machines to help with the grinding and mixing. The air usually smells like roasted grains or spices, depending on what we are making that day. We wear plain aprons and try to keep the place as tidy as possible, though the dust from the machines is hard to beat. The building is a simple shed with high ceilings to keep it from getting too hot during the day. We don't have a fancy office; just a small desk near the main door where we handle the paperwork. Most of our customers are wholesalers who come by with their own transport. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend half the day fixing a belt or a motor. It’s part of the routine. We don't have a sales team going out to find business. People in the industry know us and they just call when they need a load. We stay focused on the work at hand and don't worry about much else. It’s a tough environment with all the noise and heat, but we’ve been doing this for a long time. We just want to get the work done right and get home to our families.
