Jewel Art India

Our shop, Jewel Art India, is right in the middle of the busy Chandpole Bazar. We are at 483, near the first crossing at Govind Rajajion Ka Rst. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are always crowded with people and carts. Our place is small, but we pack a lot into it. We've been in this spot for quite some time. The walls are lined with small cabinets and displays. It’s not a high-end luxury boutique with velvet ropes. It’s a practical workspace where we deal with jewelry and art pieces every day. Often, the street noise drifts inside, but we don't mind it. It’s part of being in the bazaar. We spend our hours looking at fine details and talking to locals who stop by. We don't use fancy sales tactics. If someone likes something, we tell them about it simply, without trying to push a sale. We aren't a big chain store. We are just local people working in a traditional way. The lighting is a bit yellow, and the floor is worn down from years of footsteps. It feels comfortable to us. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we know. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit and eat.
