Janta Ice-Cream

We are over at Shop No. 36 in Mahadev Nagar-4. It is right opposite Ranipark in Bindoli, which is a pretty easy landmark to find. Most of the time, we are just busy handling the daily rush. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every inch of space for the storage cabinets. Being near the park means we get a lot of foot traffic, especially when the weather is nice and people are out for a stroll. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit. We don't bother with anything too complicated. We just sell ice cream to whoever walks in the door. There’s always something to do, like cleaning the floors or checking the stock levels. We talk to the other shopkeepers around here quite a bit; it’s a friendly row of shops. Sometimes the weekends get a bit chaotic with so many people around, but we just keep serving. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook for the accounts and a cash drawer. It’s how we have always done it. We’ve had some long days, especially during the festival seasons when everyone wants something sweet. But mostly, it’s just a steady rhythm. We are happy being the local ice cream spot for the people in Mahadev Nagar. It’s a decent way to make a living and the park view is nice.
