You can find Jai Sai Exports at S 29 in Indira Bazar, Akanwar Nagar. Being in a bazaar means we are right in the thick of it every single day. The streets are narrow and always crowded with people, rickshaws, and carts carrying all kinds of goods. Our place is small and often filled to the ceiling with boxes waiting to be sent out to different parts of the world. We do exporting, so our life revolves around deadlines and shipping dates. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of goods. We don’t have much room for a desk, so we just squeeze in where we can among the inventory. It’s noisy outside with all the street sounds and vendors calling out, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend the morning checking what needs to be packed and the afternoon getting it all ready for the courier trucks. Sometimes the heat in the market is quite a lot, so we have a couple of old fans that we keep pointed right at us while we work. We aren't a fancy corporate office with air conditioning everywhere and quiet halls. It’s just a workspace in a busy, crowded market. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers around us well. We help each other out when we can. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we just keep at it.
