Ice Cream Shop

This shop is at B38 University Marg, right near the Janta Store in Bapu Nagar. Since we are so close to the university, we get a lot of students coming in between their classes. It’s a small place with just a couple of freezers and a few stools. It isn't anything fancy. We have the usual flavors that everyone likes. The floors are easy to clean, which is good because students can be a bit messy sometimes. We stay open late because that’s when the most people are walking around the neighborhood. My cousin and I take turns running the counter. It’s a lot of standing and scooping, which can make your wrists ache after a while. We don't have a big neon sign or anything, just the name Ice Cream Shop on the front. It tells you exactly what you’re getting. Sometimes the freezer makes a humming noise that’s a bit loud, but you get used to it. We keep a few napkins on the counter and a bin outside. It’s a simple business. We don't do fancy sundaes with sparklers or anything. Just cold ice cream in a cup or a cone. It’s nice to see people happy when they get their treats on a hot day. That’s why we keep doing it, even when the electricity bills get high in the summer.
