Goyal Caterers

Goyal Caterers is located at 137, Tikkimal Ka Rasta Manarovar, Kishanpole Bazar. It is a bit tucked away in the lanes, but it is a good place for us to work. The building itself is quite old and we have had to do some repairs on the walls and the roof over the years. We do all the cooking on the ground floor. It is mostly a family-run thing, with my brother and some cousins doing the main work. We spend a lot of time sitting on small stools peeling ginger and garlic. The sound of the traffic from Kishanpole Bazar is always there in the background. We handle lunch boxes for local workers and some bigger dinners for families. We do not have a big sign or a fancy office. There is just a small wooden board outside so people do not get lost while looking for us. Life at Goyal Caterers is all about the clock. You have to get the lentils soaking at the right time or the whole day is ruined. We have been using the same stove for a very long time because it is reliable. Sometimes the power cuts out or we run low on supplies, but we always figure it out. We are not trying to be the most famous name in the city. We just want to keep the kitchen going and make sure the food is decent for everyone. It is a quiet, regular kind of life.
