Girraj Milk Dhai Bhandar

Located at Subhash Chowk in the Bandrika Nashik area, our shop is a familiar spot for the morning crowd. We deal in milk and curd, so our day starts much earlier than most people’s. The big metal cans arrive early in the morning, and there is always a bit of water on the floor from cleaning things down. We keep the curd in large earthen pots or plastic tubs depending on the season. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the large fridge and the counter. You can usually find a few people standing around waiting for their daily liters of milk or a packet of dahi. The Subhash Chowk area gets quite crowded, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking right outside the door. We don't have a lot of time for chatting when the morning rush is on, but we know most of our regular customers' orders by heart. Sometimes we run out of stock earlier than expected if there is a festival or a big function nearby. The walls are tiled to keep things clean, but it’s an old building that gets a bit drafty. We’ve been serving the local neighborhood here for a long time. It’s a simple business of providing fresh dairy every single day without fail. We just focus on getting the milk out and keeping the shop tidy for the next day.
