Foodies Halt

Our place is situated right below the private ward block at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Sitapura. Because of where we are, most of our customers are either hospital staff or people visiting their loved ones who are staying upstairs. It is a very specific kind of environment to work in. We try to keep the atmosphere calm because we know people might be having a stressful day. We serve basic meals and drinks like coffee and tea. The kitchen is small but we keep it going from early in the morning until late in the evening. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just some simple chairs and a clean counter. Sitapura is a bit out of the main city area, so we are a convenient stop for anyone at the hospital. We don't use any fancy advertising or try to sound like a gourmet restaurant. We just provide food and a place to sit for a few minutes. Sometimes the hospital gets very busy and we have a lot of people waiting, but we just take it one order at a time. The staff here are just local people from the neighborhood who know how to cook simple things. It’s a very straightforward operation and we don't try to make it anything more than a helpful place for people who are already here at the facility for other reasons. We just keep the lights on and the water boiling.
