We run Dana Pani Sethias over at Shyam Nagar on Janpath, units 39 and 40. It’s a place where we focus on food, mostly traditional stuff that people around here like. The space is decent sized, but we don't go overboard with the furniture or the lighting. We wanted a place where families could just sit and eat without feeling like they have to act a certain way. The kitchen stays busy with orders for different types of dishes. We buy our grains and vegetables from the same vendors we’ve used for a long time. Sometimes the wait for a table can be a bit long on Sunday nights, but we try to move things along. We don't use a lot of complicated words on our menu. It’s just honest food. The staff is friendly enough, but we’re all mostly focused on getting the work done. Shyam Nagar is a nice area, and being on Janpath makes us easy to find. We don't have any big missions or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the food tastes like it’s supposed to and that people leave with a full stomach. It’s a lot of cleaning and prep work behind the scenes, but that’s just the nature of the business. We keep the doors open daily and just handle whatever the day brings to the counter and the tables in the dining room.
