City Handicrafts is located right in the middle of the action in Johari Bazar. We are at 1368, Lal Haveli, which is in Pitliyon Ka Chowk. If you know this area, you know that Johari Bazar is incredibly crowded and full of energy. Our place in Lal Haveli is an old building with a lot of character, though it shows its age in some spots. Being in Pitliyon Ka Chowk means there is always something happening outside our door. The sounds of the market are part of our daily background. We handle a lot of different handicraft items, so the space is usually filled with boxes and pieces waiting to be sorted. It’s not organized like a modern warehouse; things are tucked into corners and stacked where they fit. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit, but the feel of the haveli stays the same. The ceilings are high, and the walls are thick, which helps a little with the heat. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workspace where we manage the stock and talk to the people who bring us their work. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to spend the day. Most people find us just by walking through the chowk and asking around. It's just a regular local business in the heart of the city, nothing too fancy about it.
