We are located at Plot No.- 11 on the PWD Road in Sanchore. The San Dharamshalla is nearby, so that makes it easy to explain to people where we are. Jalore gets very hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the stock stays out of the sun. We trade various goods and deal with a lot of transporters who come through this route. The plot is mostly storage space and a small office area where we keep the books. It's a dusty place because of the road, but we try to keep it clean enough. My cousin helps me with the loading and unloading when the trucks arrive. Usually, there's a lot of shouting and noise when a shipment comes in. We’ve been here for several years now and the neighbors are all other traders. We don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where things come in and go out pretty fast. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during the cooler evenings to catch our breath. The PWD Road is always busy with trucks and tractors passing by. We just do our business, keep our records straight, and try to get home before it gets too late. It’s hard work, but we are used to the rhythm of the market here in Sanchore. We always check the gate twice before leaving. It is a simple place for regular trade.
