Our place is over at No. 136 A in Natraj Vihar, which is part of the Keshupura area in Bhankrota. Sttoffa isn't in a big commercial mall; we are tucked away in a more residential-feeling spot. It makes the workday feel a bit different, maybe a little more grounded. We handle a lot of different fabrics and materials here. The rooms are usually filled with rolls of cloth and there is often thread on the floor. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and cutting them to size. It’s a hands-on kind of job, and our fingers are usually busy all day. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around just to make room for a really big piece of work. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads, which we like. People who know us usually just come straight to the door. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the work we do inside. It’s a small team of us, and we’ve gotten used to each other’s way of working over the years. We take things as they come, whether it's a small order or something that takes us all week to finish. There’s always a cup of tea somewhere near the cutting table. We just enjoy the process of working with our hands and seeing the fabric turn into something useful. It is a simple life and we stay busy with it.
