Balg Food Court

Balg Food Court is situated over in Bais Godam, near Chandi Ki Taksal. It’s a pretty large space compared to some of the other shops around here. We have different counters for different kinds of food, so there is always a lot going on at the same time. You can hear the sound of pans clanking and oil sizzling from the moment we open. The seating area has those plastic chairs that are easy to wipe down, which is good because things get spilled all the time. We get a big rush around one o'clock when the office people from nearby come in for their lunch. It can get a bit overwhelming with everyone shouting their orders at once. We try to keep things organized with tokens, but sometimes it still feels a bit chaotic. The smell of different spices hangs in the air all day. We spend a lot of time cleaning the big sinks in the back. It’s not a fancy dining experience, just a place where you can get a hot plate of food without waiting forever. My uncle started this place because he saw how many people were working in Bais Godam with nowhere to eat. We don't have any music playing or anything like that, just the sound of people talking and eating. It stays pretty warm in the kitchen area, but the main hall has a few big fans.
