You can find us at D-15 in Transport Nagar. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it’s full of heavy trucks, mechanics, and the smell of diesel. We run a transport business here, which basically means we spend our time talking to drivers and making sure loads get from one place to another. Our office is just a small room with some benches and a lot of logbooks. It’s dusty and noisy because of the main road, but that’s the nature of the business. We are usually here late into the night waiting for trucks to arrive or depart. My family has been doing this for a long time, so we know the routes and the problems that can come up on the highway. We don't use any fancy logistics software, just our phones and some notebooks to keep track of everything. It’s a lot of talking and sometimes a bit of arguing to get things moving on time. We have a small stove in the back to make tea for the drivers when they come in tired from a long trip. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and try to keep the trucks moving every day and night. It is a tough life but we are used to it now.
