Aswal Transport Co

We’ve been here at the Delhi Bye Pass Circle for quite a while now. If you’ve spent any time around Transport Nagar, you probably know where the Aswal Transport Co office sits. It’s not a fancy place, mostly just desks and phones ringing while we try to figure out where the trucks are. Things get pretty dusty with all the traffic coming off the bypass, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Most days are spent talking to drivers and making sure the loads are actually getting where they need to go without too much trouble. It isn't always smooth. Sometimes a truck breaks down or a driver gets stuck in traffic for hours, and then we have to spend the afternoon making calls and moving things around. We handle a lot of different stuff, mostly heavy goods that people need moved from one city to another. It’s hard work and the hours are long, especially when there’s a rush. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with suits and big presentations. It’s more about getting the job done and making sure the paperwork is mostly right so nobody gets stopped. If you walk in, you’ll probably see a couple of us drinking tea and staring at a logbook. We just try to keep the wheels moving as much as we can. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant smell of diesel from the road.
