A One Handicraft

We are over at Jagatpura 5, working out of a space that is mostly dedicated to making things by hand. It’s not a very big place, but it has everything we need to get the handicrafts done. There are tools and materials scattered across the workbenches, and you’ll usually find a few of us sitting there focusing on the small details. The neighborhood of Jagatpura is fairly quiet compared to the main city, which helps when you’re trying to work on something delicate. We don’t have a big storefront with neon signs. It’s more of a workshop where the real work happens. Sometimes it’s a bit messy with scraps of wood or fabric on the floor, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things. We have some shelves where we put the finished items once they are done. The lighting isn’t the best, so we use some extra lamps to see what we are doing. We’ve been here for a while and we have a routine that works for us. It’s a simple life, just showing up and using our hands to create different pieces. We don't use any big machines, so it’s pretty quiet inside except for the sound of the tools. People from the area know us and sometimes stop by to see what’s new. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like being in this part of town. It takes time, but we don't mind.
