Sampark Catrers

Being located on A B Road means we are always near the main flow of the city. It is a long road and we see everything from heavy trucks to small scooters passing by all day. Our work involves a lot of big pots and long hours near the stoves. It gets very hot in the kitchen areas especially when we are preparing for a large group of people. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. Most of our space is taken up by crates of plates and big cooking utensils. We spend a lot of time cleaning and chopping and making sure the spices are right. It is a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy containers of food into the vans. A B Road is convenient for getting to different parts of the city quickly but the traffic can be a real problem sometimes. We have to plan our timings carefully so we don't get stuck. There is a lot of noise outside but we are used to it by now. It is just a regular business where everyone knows their job and gets it done. We don't spend much time on talk. We just focus on the heat of the fire and the smell of the food. It’s a hard way to earn a living but it keeps us busy every single day.
