National Marble

We have been operating National Marble out of this spot at 30/3 in T.S. Navlakha for quite some time now. It’s not a very large place, but we manage to fit a lot of stone into the space we have. The area is pretty well-known for trades like this, so we fit right in with the surroundings. Most days are pretty much the same—we open up, move some slabs around to make them easier to see, and wait for whoever might need something. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who do everything from the heavy lifting to the talking. It’s a bit of a physical job, and you definitely feel it in your arms after a long day. We don't bother with any fancy displays or lights. The marble looks how it looks under the normal sun. We think it’s better that way so people know exactly what they are getting. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with parked vehicles, which makes it hard for us to move the bigger pieces out, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town or anything like that. We just want to keep things simple and keep the business going. People around here know where to find us if they are doing some work on their homes. It’s a steady life and we don’t ask for much more than that. It's just how we make our living, year after year.
