Shree Ram Stone

We are located at No. 1/31 in the T.S. Navlakha area, right in the middle of Loha Mandi. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so there is always the sound of metal and trucks in the background. Shree Ram Stone is a very straightforward operation. We don't have a glass front or any decorations to speak of. It’s mostly just rows of stone slabs and a few plastic stools for people to sit on while they think. The area can be quite muddy when it rains, and the dust from the iron market nearby settles on everything we own. I spend my day checking the inventory and talking to the drivers who bring the stones in. We get a lot of people who are building houses in the newer parts of town and they come here because they want to see the real thing. We keep it simple. If we have it in the yard, we show it to you. If we don't, we tell you when the next truck might be coming from the mines. The office is just a corner with a ceiling fan and a lot of old ledgers on the desk. It feels like a real working place, not a polished showroom. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic with the loading and unloading, but we manage to get things done. You have to be careful walking around the slabs because they are heavy and the ground isn't always level. It’s just an honest business.
