You can find our office at number 40-41 on Maharani Road. We’re right near where the Altas Radio shop used to be. It’s a really busy part of town. There’s always someone honking their horn outside or a rickshaw trying to squeeze past. Our office is usually filled with the sound of the street and the smell of tea. We do a lot of stone importing and trading from this spot. We don't keep the big slabs right here in the office, obviously. That would be a disaster. We mostly handle the orders and talk to the suppliers from here. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking manifests. Sometimes the samples we have on the shelves get a bit disorganized when we’re busy. We’ve been on Maharani Road for a long time, so we know all the other shopkeepers around. We usually grab a snack from the vendor downstairs in the afternoon. It’s not a glamorous setup. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the desks are a bit scratched up from all the stone samples we slide across them. But it works for us. We’re just a regular business trying to stay on top of the stone trade. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the trucks are on time, but we manage somehow. It’s just the way things go in this market.
