Tirupati Stone Cruser

Our stone crusher is located at Plot No 3115 on Hawa Bangla Road in Sudama Nagar. It is a loud place to work, that’s for sure. The machines are running a lot, breaking down big stones into smaller ones. There is always a layer of fine stone dust on the ground and on our clothes. It’s the kind of job where you go home feeling the weight of the day. Sudama Nagar is a busy enough area, and being on Hawa Bangla Road means we see a lot of people moving past. We don't have a proper office with air conditioning. It’s mostly just the yard and the equipment doing its thing. We spend a lot of time checking the belts and making sure the crushers aren't jammed up with anything. It’s physical work and it can be pretty tiring when the sun is out. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just crush stones. The neighbors are used to the hum of the plant by now. Sometimes we have to stop for maintenance, and the silence feels a bit strange after all the noise. We just keep our heads down and get the piles of stone ready for whoever needs them next. It’s not a clean job, but it’s what we know how to do. The plot is big enough for the trucks to turn around, which is all we really need.
