We are based out of Maan Heritage, up on the third floor. Being in Indore Ho means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a bit of a trek getting the supplies up and down, but we’ve made it work for a long time now. Our space is office 302, where we handle the planning and a lot of the small-scale prep. It’s not like those big catering companies you see on TV. We are just a few people who enjoy cooking and wanted to make a business out of it. We spend a lot of time in different kitchens across the city, depending on where the event is. When we aren't out on a job, we’re usually here at Maan Heritage sorting out the bills or talking to people about their upcoming parties. We don’t have a big sales pitch. We just talk about what food people like and what their budget is. It’s a practical way of doing things. Sometimes we make mistakes, like forgetting a specific spice or running a bit late because of the Indore traffic, but we always try to make it right. We’ve been doing this for enough years that we know most of the suppliers in the area by name. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes we wonder why we chose this line of work, but then a job goes well and it feels worth it. We’re just glad to be working.
