Indore is a pretty lively city, and we are right in the middle of the Vijay Nagar area on Scheme No. 54. We are right next to Meghdoot Garden, which is nice because you get a bit of green nearby in such a dusty, busy part of town. The hotel is one of those big buildings that people use as a landmark when giving directions. We have people coming in for all sorts of reasons—weddings are big here, so there are often families in the lobby with lots of luggage and kids running around. Then you have the business travelers who just want their room key and some quiet. Our team spends most of the day just managing that balance. The kitchen is always going because someone is always hungry, whether it’s late at night or early in the morning. Vijay Nagar has changed a lot over the years, with more malls and shops popping up, so it feels like the center of things now. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the lobby looking okay, though with so many people coming through, there’s always something to fix or clean.
