Chotiwala Restaurant

The sun hits the front of Raunak Plaza pretty early in the morning and we start getting things ready for the day here at Chotiwala Restaurant. South Tukoganj is always a busy part of Indore and you can hear the traffic starting up before we even open the doors. We are right at 8/B and directly opposite Nath Mandir which is where a lot of people go before they stop in here for a bite to eat. It is just a regular place where we cook every day. My staff and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen chopping vegetables and making sure the stove is working right. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud but they keep the air moving when it gets hot outside. We see the same people most days who work around the plaza or live nearby in the neighborhood. It is not fancy or anything like that. Just some tables and chairs and food that we make. Some days are more crowded than others especially when there is something going on at the temple across the road. We keep the floor swept and try to make sure everyone gets their water as soon as they sit down. It is a lot of work running a place in this part of town but we have been here a while now. The address is easy to find if you know where the main market area is. We just keep doing what we do every morning until we close up at night and go home to start again.
