Chinese Point

Chinese Point is over here at 287-288 Indrapuri. It's not a big restaurant, just a small corner where we cook up noodles and manchurian every day. We’re right near Hello Point, so it's easy to find us if you're in the colony. We started this because we liked cooking and there weren't many places for good spicy food around here back then. The kitchen gets really hot in the summers, but we keep going. We have some tables out front, mostly plastic ones, and it’s usually students sitting there after their classes. It gets pretty loud in the evenings with everyone talking. We don't have any fancy chefs, just us making the food the way people like it here. Sometimes we run out of things if the crowd is too big on weekends. We try to keep the place tidy, but it's a busy spot so things get a bit messy during rush hour. We don’t do any big advertising or anything. People just know us from word of mouth. It's been a few years now and we've seen kids grow up and move away. We use the local spices we find in the market nearby. It’s just a simple business for us. We open up in the afternoon and stay late till the last order is done. There’s nothing corporate about how we run things, just a local food joint that serves the people in Main Indrapuri.
