Cherry Restaurant

We’re over at 727 Annapurna Road in Indore. It’s in the Usha Nagar Extension area. If you’re at the Dashehara Maidan, you just look across the road and you’ll see us. That maidan is huge, so there’s always something going on over there, especially during festivals. Our place is pretty straightforward. We have the kitchen in the back and the seating up front. The tables are basic. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we’re always wiping things down. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We don’t have a big staff. Most of us do a bit of everything, from taking orders to cleaning up. The morning is quiet, mostly just prep work and getting the stove going. By evening, when people are out walking near the maidan, it gets much busier. The lighting is just regular bulbs. We’ve got some posters on the wall that have been there forever. Indore people know their food, so we just try to keep things consistent. It’s a bit noisy when the traffic picks up on Annapurna Road. We have a small sink for people to wash their hands. It’s just a normal spot for a meal. Nothing too complicated. We like the location because of all the space across the street. Sometimes kids come over after playing in the ground. We just keep serving and doing our daily chores.
