Started the business at Mhow Naka years ago. It’s right across from Trilokchand School. Most mornings start early, around five or six, when the milk arrives. We have these big burners in the back that take forever to heat up. It gets pretty hot in the kitchen, especially during the summer months in Indore. Our guys are used to it though. We don't really have a fancy office or anything, just the space here at 11/2. You’ll usually see a couple of our trucks parked outside, maybe blocking the road a bit, but the neighbors don't mind too much. We do a lot of weddings and small house parties. Sometimes people just walk in from Sudama Nagar asking if we have extra sweets left over from an order. It’s a busy spot. The traffic near the school is a mess in the afternoon when kids are leaving. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking. There's always a lot of cleaning to do after a big job, washing those massive silver pots. It’s hard work and your hands end up smelling like spices for days. We've seen this street change a lot over the years, new shops coming and going, but we've stayed right here. It's not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We mostly just talk to each other and keep the stoves going every day.
