Our place is in Ilkal, over in the Bagalkote district. Specifically, you can find Gayatri Granite Traders on Joshigalli. We are right near the Ramakrishna Lodge, which is a pretty well-known landmark for anyone around here. Being in a place like Ilkal, granite is just part of the local life. We have a small setup where we trade in the stones that come through this region. Joshigalli is a narrow street and things can get a bit cramped when trucks are moving, but we make it work. It is a local business through and through. We know most of the neighbors and the people staying at the lodge often walk past our front. The work is mostly about checking the quality of the slabs and making sure the trades go through without any hiccups. We aren't a big corporation. Just a few of us making a living in the stone trade. Sometimes the dust from the street gets inside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the surfaces. It is a dusty job but someone has to do it. Bagalkote has a lot of history with this kind of work, and we are just one small part of it. We don't have a big website or fancy brochures. If you need to see what we have, you just walk down Joshigalli and find us near the lodge. It is how we have always done things here in Ilkal. We keep it very basic.
