V.V.Music College

V.V.Music College is tucked away in Sultan Bazar, specifically at 4-5-481 in the Badichowdi area of Hyderabad. If you've ever walked through Sultan Bazar, you know how packed and lively it is. Our building is right in the thick of it. Most days, you can hear a mix of sounds coming from our windows—someone practicing the tabla, another person singing scales, or maybe a sitar being tuned. It’s a bit of an older building, and the stairs are somewhat narrow, but it has a lot of character that fits the music. We have different rooms for different instruments, though none of them are soundproof, so the music all kind of blends together in the hallway. Telangana summers are tough, so we have old coolers running to keep the practice rooms from getting too stuffy. The Sultan Bazar neighborhood is always noisy with shoppers and traffic, but once you step inside, the music takes over. We don't have a flashy entrance or a reception desk with a computer. Usually, there’s just a wooden table where people sign in. Most of our students are locals who just want to learn an instrument or improve their singing. We’ve been part of the 500001 community for quite some time now. It’s a simple life here, focused on the notes and the rhythms without any of the corporate polish you find in the newer parts of the city.
