Our shop is right on the Yousufguda Main Road in Ameerpet. We've been at 4-21-71 for quite a while now, and the place usually smells like turmeric and chili from the moment we open. Some days the traffic outside is so loud we can barely hear what the customers are asking for, but we manage somehow. We spend most of our mornings opening up heavy sacks and checking the quality of the spices that come in. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. My hands are usually stained orange by noon from the powders. People from all around the neighborhood stop by for their weekly stash of spices. We don't do anything fancy with our packaging, just plain plastic bags that keep the flavor in. Sometimes the grinding machine breaks down and we have to spend hours fixing it while the orders just pile up on the counter. That’s just how it goes here. We aren't some big factory with a lot of staff, just a local place trying to keep things moving. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. It gets pretty dusty inside with all the powders flying around, but you get used to it after a week. The heat in Ameerpet can be tough in the summer months, but we keep the fans running and just keep grinding. We focus on getting the mix right every single time because the local ladies will definitely complain if their curry tastes different.
