Baliram Khiyaram

Our place, Baliram Khiyaram, is tucked away in the lane right beside the Kothi Andhra Bank in Sultan Bazar. It’s a very crowded area, and finding us for the first time can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking closely. We have the units at 4-5-118 and 119. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves us well. Sultan Bazar is always buzzing with people, so there’s never a quiet moment outside our doors. Inside, we deal with whatever the day brings. Most of the time, we are busy with customers or checking on the stock we have piled up. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shopkeepers around the lane are like friends to us. We don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom. It’s more of a functional space where we store our goods and talk to people who need them. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just sit and wait it out, chatting with whoever is around. That’s just life in this part of town. We keep our records in big ledgers, though we've started using a computer for some things now. It's a mix of the old way of doing things and trying to keep up. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and making sure we don't run out of what people are asking for.
