Sri Kanishka Restaurant

If you know Narayanguda, you probably know the YMCA X Road area. Our restaurant is Shop No 1, right beside Shanti Theatre and across from the police station. It’s a hectic part of Hyderabad, always noisy with traffic and people going to catch a movie. We’ve been serving food here at Sri Kanishka Restaurant for some time now. It’s a straightforward place with tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. We mostly get students from the nearby colleges and workers who need a quick lunch. The menu is what you’d expect from a local spot around here. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that because we focus more on what’s happening in the kitchen. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when the movie crowd lets out, but we do what we can. The police station across the street keeps things orderly, I suppose. We open up early and stay open until the dinner rush dies down. It’s just a regular business run by people who live in the city. We deal with the usual problems like power cuts or late deliveries, but we keep the doors open. It’s a bit cramped when it's full, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. We are just glad to be a part of the Narayanguda neighborhood and keep the kitchen running every day for the regulars who visit us.
