Sloka, The Hyderabad Waldorf School

The school is located at Plot 287 on Road 25 in Jubilee Hills. It’s a hilly part of Hyderabad, so the roads wind around a bit. This specific plot has been our home for a while. It feels different from the busier parts of the city because of all the trees and the quiet on this particular road. The building itself is tucked away. You walk through the gate and it’s mostly just classrooms and outdoor spaces. We don't have big shiny signs or anything. It’s a very practical layout. The kids spend a lot of time outside when the weather allows it. You’ll see them with their bags or playing near the trees. The staff spends their time between the classrooms and the small office area. There’s always a bit of dust on the shelves and the sound of birds in the morning. We don't follow the usual corporate school model. Things are a bit more relaxed here. The furniture is mostly wood. It feels like a lived-in space, not a showroom. We deal with the usual things like leaky taps or overgrown bushes. In the rainy season, the whole place gets very green. People find us because they know the address or they live nearby. It’s a steady kind of place. We just focus on the day-to-day work. No one is in a huge rush. It’s just how things go on Road 25.
