If you’re looking for Simsum Arts, you have to head up to the third floor of Sri Sai Thota Towers. We are right above the Dominos, so the hallway usually smells like pizza, which can make you pretty hungry by lunchtime. Being beside Fabudent Dental Clinic means it’s usually fairly quiet in the corridor, aside from people coming and going from the lift. We’ve set ourselves up here in Kondapur, right on the Hitex-Kondapur Road. It’s a busy stretch of road and finding a parking spot can be a real headache some days. Inside the space, things are a bit cluttered with supplies and different projects we are working on at the moment. We have big windows that look out over the street, so we see the traffic jams starting every afternoon. It’s a good spot because there is a lot of light during the day, which helps when you’re trying to see small details. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. People just walk in and find us at the back or near the tables. The walls have some marks from moving furniture around, and we probably should have painted them last year but never got around to it. It’s a busy place where someone is always doing something with their hands. We’ve got a small corner for making tea and that’s about as fancy as it gets for us here. Most days we are here until quite late finishing up.
