I work as a freelance artist out of Flat No.14 in Huda Heights. This building is in Banjara Hills, tucked away right behind Lotus Pond. It’s a nice area, though the hills can be a bit of a walk if you're not used to them. My workspace is basically just one of the rooms where I keep all my supplies. There are canvases leaning against almost every wall and the floor has some old paint stains that I couldn't get out. I spend a lot of time by the window because the light is better there in the mornings. Sometimes I can see people walking around the pond if I lean out far enough. It’s mostly quiet here, except for when the neighbors are moving furniture or someone is practicing music upstairs. Being a freelancer means my schedule is all over the place. Some nights I’m up until three in the morning finishing a piece because the mood felt right. My desk is a bit of a mess with pens, charcoal, and half-empty coffee mugs everywhere. I try to stay organized but it usually lasts about two days before things pile up again. I don't really have a fancy studio, just this flat where I can focus on what I'm making. It’s a bit cramped with all the frames and paper, but it feels like home. I usually have the radio on low while I work just to keep from feeling too lonely during the long hours.
