Seemalamudi & Sons has been part of Ameerpet for a good while. You can find us at Door No. 8-3-671/C, right in Jay Prakash Nagar. This part of Yellareddyguda is always packed with people, and our shop is usually right in the thick of it. We started as a small family thing and we’ve stayed that way, even as the buildings around us got taller and the streets got more crowded. We handle all sorts of goods that families in the neighborhood need. The shop floor is usually covered in some kind of dust from the supplies, and we aren't always great at keeping every single shelf perfectly straight. It’s a lived-in space where we know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone coming in for the first time. We spend a lot of time on the phone dealing with suppliers or talking to the neighbors who stop by. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here, just the family and a few workers who have been with us long enough to feel like family. We open early and close late because that’s when the people in Ameerpet are out and about. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and remembering prices off the top of your head because the computer sometimes acts up. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the locals have a place to get their things without any fuss.
