Down in Auto Nagar, things are always a bit loud. Our spot is at 16-22-18 in Vanasthalipuram. It is an area where people are always fixing something or moving parts around. We fit right in with the cranes. The ground is stained with a bit of oil here and there, but we try to keep things organized. Most of the guys have been working with these machines for years. They know the sounds the engines make better than anything else. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too high. There is a small shop nearby where we get our morning breakfast. The office is just a simple room with a table and a few files. We don’t really do much with decorations. It is more about making sure the equipment is ready when someone calls from the nearby sites. Sometimes the big trucks block the road, and we have to navigate carefully. It can be a bit of a headache, but we are used to it by now. Vanasthalipuram is a busy place, and we are right in the thick of it. We keep our keys on a big hook by the door. It’s a simple setup, nothing special to look at, but it works for what we do. We mostly just focus on the next task and keeping the machines running. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time without making any fuss about it.
