Safrani Exports is based at 1-86, near the Darga Hassain Shah Wali post office in Golconda. It is a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the main city, but it's much quieter. We like being near the Darga because it's a good landmark for people trying to find us. The post office is right there, which is handy for our export work. We spend a lot of time packing things up and getting the paperwork ready for shipping. The building we are in is just a standard concrete structure with enough space for our supplies and a couple of desks. It isn't anything special to look at. We have a small crew and we all know each other's families. On hot days, we usually keep the shutters halfway down to keep the sun out. There's a lot of focus on the details of what we are sending out, so it can be a bit quiet inside while everyone is concentrating. Sometimes a stray dog will wander in looking for shade and we just let it be. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just do our exports and hope the trucks show up on time. It is a straightforward way to earn a living in this part of Golconda. We have been here long enough that the postman doesn't even have to look at the address anymore.
