Naman Namkeen

You can find us in Shriramnagar Colony in Jalpally. We are at House Number 4-324, on Plot No. 13. It is a place where we make all our snacks and namkeen items. We started this in a small way and it is still a very local operation. The whole area around our plot often smells like fried gram flour and spices because we are cooking throughout the day. We have a few large stoves and big metal basins where we mix everything by hand. It is a lot of manual work, especially when we have to bag everything up for the local shops. We do not use a lot of big fancy machines, just simple tools that get the job done. The colony is mostly residential, so we try not to be too loud, though the delivery rickshaws coming in and out can be a bit much sometimes. We have a small group of workers who help with the frying and the packing. We spend our mornings getting the fresh batches ready and our afternoons doing the packaging. It is a hot and busy environment, but we are used to it. We do not really do any formal advertising. People just know our snacks because they see them in the neighborhood stores. We focus on the taste and the crunch, and that seems to be enough. It is a simple life, making snacks and making sure the bags are sealed right before they head out. We have been here for a while.
