Madhu Sweets

Madhu Sweets has been here in Amberpet at 2-3-724/6 for a long time now. It’s a small shop, and the kitchen in the back is where most of the action happens. You can usually smell what we’re making from a block away. We don’t have any fancy seating or modern decor. It’s just the glass counters and a few stools if someone wants to sit for a minute. We wake up early to start the first batches, usually while the street is still quiet. By the time the commute starts, we’re ready for the morning rush. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. We know their names and what they usually like to buy. It’s a busy life, especially during the holidays when everyone wants something special. We don’t use any big machines, just the same pots and pans we’ve always used. My hands are usually sticky with sugar or flour most of the day. We aren't looking to become some big chain of stores. We just want to keep making what we know how to make. The shop is a bit small, and it gets crowded in the evenings, but that’s just how it is. We keep things clean and simple. That’s how we’ve always run our business here and we don't see any reason to change it now. It works for us.
