About Krishnaveni Pindi Girni – Food & Beverages in Hyderabad
The mill, Krishnaveni Pindi Girni, is located right in Ram Nagar Colony, specifically at 1-18-26. If you know where the Vaishanodevi Matha Temple is in Alwal, then you are basically right there. We usually open early in the morning, around seven, to catch the people before they go to their jobs. The sound of the machines is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. It gets pretty loud when we are grinding the grain, and there is always a layer of white flour dust on everything by noon. We spend most of our mornings taking bags from the local families and getting everything ready. It’s a bit of a workout, lifting those heavy sacks all day, but it keeps us fit. The neighbors often stop by just to chat while they wait for their flour, so it feels more like a community spot than just a business. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people passing by on their way to pray. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real pain when you have a queue of people waiting, but we just wait it out. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the rollers are clean and the motors are running right. It's honest work and it feels good to provide something that everyone in the colony actually needs for their daily meals. Alwal has changed a lot, but this little corner stays pretty much the same.
