Kalyani Biryani House

We are over here in Hyderabad at the Bhel X Road. Our place is in Ashok Nagar, right beside the LIC Building. You can't really miss it if you're in the area. Biryani is what we do. We’ve been cooking it the same way for a long time. It’s a busy spot, especially during lunch hours when people from the nearby offices come out. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles here. The focus is just on the big pots of rice and meat. Prep starts early in the morning so everything is ready by noon. It’s a lot of work to get the spices right and make sure the meat is tender. 500020 is our pin code. Being the most famous place in the city isn't the goal, just being a reliable one for the people living in Ashok Nagar. The seating is basic, but we keep it tidy. Sometimes we run out of certain items before the day ends because we only cook a set amount to keep it fresh. That’s just the way we run things. My cousins and I manage the whole operation. We handle the orders and the kitchen ourselves. It’s a simple life. Money isn't spent much on decorations. We think if the food is decent, people will find their way to us. We’ve been at this same spot for a while now and don't plan on moving. It’s just regular food for regular people who want a good meal.
