Jaatham Fibreglas Ltd

Up on the eleventh floor of Paigah Plaza, the air feels a little different than it does down on the streets of Basheerbagh. Being at unit 1102 means we spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators, especially during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get to their floor at once. Jaatham Fibreglas Ltd has a space here that is filled with the smell of old paper and the occasional whiff of whatever someone brought for lunch. The windows give us a wide look at the city, though we usually have the blinds drawn to keep the sun out. It’s a busy building with a lot of different offices, so there’s a constant stream of people in the hallways. Our own space is pretty simple, with desks that have seen better days and a few filing cabinets that don't always close right. We don't go in for fancy decorations or expensive rugs. Most of the time, you’ll find us hunched over a drawing or talking on the phone with a supplier. Basheerbagh is a hectic place, but once we are inside 1102, we just focus on the work. It’s the kind of environment where people stay for years because they like the routine. We aren't here to win any design awards for our office; we are just here to get through the list of things that need doing. It’s honest work in a tall building.
