DVR College Of Engineering & Technology

Our college is inside the Sainik Aramghar Complex over in Somajiguda. It is a very central part of Hyderabad, so there is always a lot of movement outside. DVR College Of Engineering & Technology doesn’t have one of those massive, sprawling campuses you might expect. Instead, we are set up within the complex with our classrooms and labs. It is a practical arrangement for being in the middle of the city. The building is a bit older and has that lived-in feel to it. You can see where students have walked the same paths for years. We don't have any shiny glass elevators or high-tech lounges. We just have the rooms where the teaching happens. The lecturers are regular people who know their stuff and spend their breaks drinking tea in the small stalls nearby. During the middle of the day, the hallways get quite crowded when everyone is changing classes. It can get a bit loud with all the talking, but that is just how it is. We focus on the engineering subjects and try to keep things straightforward. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of books and technical equipment. Somajiguda is a busy place to be, but once you get into the classrooms, everyone just settles down to work. It is a very grounded environment for learning. We’ve been a part of this community for quite a while now and we like the local feel.
