Biryani House

Biryani House is located in the Lakdi Ka Pool-Khairatabad area of Hyderabad. We are right opposite Global Hospital, which is a big landmark that most people in the city know. Being in the 500004 zip code means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are visiting the hospital and others are just passing through this busy junction. Our space isn't very big, but we make it work. We’ve been here for a while and the routine is pretty much the same every morning. We get the meat and rice ready early. Hyderabad is famous for this kind of food, so there is a lot of competition around here. We just try to do our own thing without worrying too much about everyone else. The kitchen stays quite warm throughout the shift. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so they know the shortcuts around Khairatabad. Sometimes it gets really loud outside with all the cars and buses, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit quieter. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls. It’s mostly just tables and chairs for people who want to eat quickly and get on with their day. We keep the counters wiped down and the floors swept as much as we can. It’s a simple operation. We don’t use any complicated machines, just the usual pots and stoves. It's a bit of a grind, but seeing the same faces come back makes it feel worth the effort.
