Kasba Foods Co is right here at Plot No 22 in Kphb Colony, Kukatpally. Being in such a busy part of the city means there is always noise from the traffic outside. Our place is where we handle all the food preparation and packing that goes out. It’s a bit different from the heavy industrial shops around, but it’s just as busy. We have a kitchen area and a place for storage that stays pretty packed most of the time. The smell of whatever we are cooking or processing usually fills the whole plot, which the neighbors sometimes mention. We have a small team here who knows the routine by heart. Everyone has their own task, whether it's checking the ingredients or making sure the bags are sealed properly. Kukatpally is a hectic area, so we are always watching the clock to make sure things go out on time before the roads get blocked up. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we get the work done. We try to keep things clean and organized, though it gets difficult when a big delivery comes in and takes up all the floor space. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on making sure the food is handled right every single day. It keeps us moving and the days go by fast.
