Azeez Sons Publication

You’ll find Azeez Sons Publication on the second floor of a building in Kanthappa Lane. It’s tucked away off Raja Muthiah Road in Periamet. The stairs are a bit narrow, and we’re always carrying boxes of books up and down. It gets dusty with all the paper around, but that’s just how it is in publishing. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The office is full of old manuscripts and stacks of new prints waiting to be sent out. Periamet is a crowded part of town, so it’s never quiet outside. We mostly focus on getting the text right and making sure the printing looks decent enough. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. We aren't a big corporation. It’s just a few of us sitting around desks covered in proofs and ink pens. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the lane because it’s small. We usually have to go down and wave them in. We drink a lot of coffee while we work on the layouts. It takes a long time to get a book ready. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably see us proofreading under the overhead fans. It’s honest work. We like seeing the finished product after months of back and forth with the printers. It’s what keeps us coming back every day. We just try to keep the books moving.
