ALOK School Uniforms

ALOK School Uniforms is tucked away at Door No 6-1-284/6 in Padmarao Nagar. If you walk down the street in Hyderabad, you will find our place mostly filled with rolls of fabric and half-finished shirts. We have been here for a good while now, handling the daily business of measuring and sewing. It gets really crowded in the shop around May and June because that is when everyone realizes their kids have outgrown last year's clothes. We spend a lot of time at our machines, and the floor is usually covered in bits of thread and cloth scraps. Padmarao Nagar is a decent area to work in, though parking on the street can be a bit of a struggle for people stopping by. We focus on getting the collars right and making sure the buttons are sewn on tight enough so they don't pop off during recess. It is practical work. We do not do much fancy stuff here, just the standard sets that the local schools require. Sometimes a parent comes in with a rush order because of a lost tie or a torn trouser, and we try to fit them in between the bigger batches. The light in the shop isn't always the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. It is just a regular local shop where we keep the iron running and the scissors moving most of the day.
