Suraj Iron Steel Udyog is located at 129 Belilious Road, right in the thick of Loha Bazar. Our shop is number 124, and it is a place where you’ll definitely get your hands a bit dirty. This whole area is dedicated to iron and steel, so the air always has that metallic smell and the sound of heavy trucks is constant. We deal with some pretty heavy stuff, so the shop is built for utility rather than looks. The floors are worn down from years of moving steel around, and the walls are covered in old calendars and notes. It’s a working-man’s environment. We don’t have time for polished speeches or fancy business meetings. Most of our talk is about dimensions, weights, and delivery times. We see a lot of different people every day, from big contractors to small workshop owners looking for a specific piece of iron. It’s a rough and tumble kind of business, but there’s a lot of honesty in it. We’ve been here in the Loha Bazar for quite a while now and we understand the rhythm of the market. Some days the road is so blocked with lorries that nothing can move, and other days things flow just fine. We just take it as it comes.
